PayPal Sans was designed for PayPal Inc. in 2014 under direction from the internal product team. It’s comprised of two complementary sub-families: PayPal Sans Big and PayPal Sans Small. PayPal Sans is mobile-first, numeral-centric, and performs excellently across a range of screen resolutions. The letterforms have robust details, flat terminals and open counter-forms. It’s a typeface aligned with humanist design principles, inspired by Jan van Krimpen’s Romulus Sans Serif experiment from the 1930s.
